Job Summary
Horder Healthcare is seeking a motivated Assessor & Internal Quality Assurer (IQA) to join their Clinical Training and Development team. This is a rewarding opportunity to play a key role in supporting clinical colleagues to achieve nationally recognised Health & Social Care qualifications. This position is offered as a bank contract, providing flexible working arrangements.

About the Role
This position offers an excellent opportunity for an experienced healthcare professional to transition into education and training. As an Assessor & Internal Quality Assurer, you will be responsible for supporting learners through their Health & Social Care qualifications while maintaining high standards of quality assurance within the organisation.
Job Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be expected to perform the following key duties:
- Assess learners through workplace observations, professional discussions and portfolio reviews
- Provide constructive, developmental feedback to support learner progression
- Monitor progress and support timely completion of qualifications
- Carry out Internal Quality Assurance activities, including sampling and standardisation
- Support assessors to maintain high-quality assessment practice
- Prepare documentation for External Quality Assurance (EQA) visits
- Promote a positive, supportive learning culture aligned to organisational values
Person Specification
Essential Requirements:
- Experience working in a healthcare environment
- Level 3 (or above) Diploma in Health & Social Care
- Level 3 Certificate in Assessing Vocational Achievement (or equivalent)
- Level 4 IQA qualification (or working towards)
- Experience assessing Health & Social Care qualifications and supporting learners
- Strong communication, organisation and relationship-building skills
Desirable Attributes:
- Apprenticeship assessment experience (Health and Social Care)
- Experience using eportfolio systems (Learning Assistant)
- Teaching qualification (Level 3 AET or above)
