Job Details
We are currently seeking experienced painters to join our team on a permanent, full-time basis. The position is located at our site at 5809 Macleod Trl SW, Calgary, AB T2H 0J9. The role offers competitive compensation at $25.00 per hour for 30 to 40 hours of work per week. The schedule includes availability during day, evening, and weekend shifts, with the position starting as early as September 1, 2026.

Key Responsibilities
As a painter with CON Construction, you will play a crucial role in our projects by preparing surfaces, applying paint and other finishes, and ensuring high-quality workmanship. Your responsibilities will include preparing, cleaning, and sanding surfaces to be painted, repairing cracks and holes in walls and ceilings, and mixing paint to achieve desired colors and textures. You will also measure, cut, and apply wallpaper and other fabrics to walls, providing expert advice to clients on color choices and wall covering options.
Surface Preparation and Application
Your duties will extend to applying paint, wallpaper, and other materials and finishes to both interior and exterior surfaces using various techniques and equipment. This includes working with airless spray equipment, conventional spray painting, patterned rollers, and roller painting methods. You’ll also be responsible for estimating costs and materials accurately for each project, ensuring efficiency and profitability while maintaining quality standards.
Specialized Techniques and Equipment
We expect our painters to be proficient in using specialized equipment such as moisture gauges and thermometers to assess surface conditions before painting. You should also have experience with drywall taping and patching, water/hydroblasting, steam cleaning, and sandblasters. These specialized skills will enable you to handle a variety of surface preparation challenges and ensure the best possible finish on every project.
Wallpaper and Fabric Application
Beyond traditional painting, our painters are expected to have expertise in working with wallpapers and fabrics/upholstery. This includes measuring and cutting materials precisely, applying them to walls with attention to detail, and ensuring proper alignment and seamless finishes.
