Prepare and bake pastries, cakes, breads, desserts, chocolates, and other confectionery products.
Develop and execute recipes while maintaining consistent quality, taste, texture, and presentation.
Decorate and finish cakes, pastries, and desserts according to professional standards and customer requirements.
Measure and combine ingredients accurately using appropriate baking techniques and equipment.
Create new pastry and dessert concepts based on current trends and customer preferences.
Maintain high standards of food hygiene, sanitation, and workplace safety.
Monitor ingredient quality, storage, stock levels, and minimize food waste.
Coordinate pastry production schedules to meet daily orders and events.
Maintain clean, organized, and efficient workstations and equipment.
Work collaboratively with chefs, kitchen staff,and management.
Train and supervise junior pastry staff when required.
Calculate recipe yields, portion sizes, and ingredient requirements to support cost control.
Ensure all finished products meet established quality and presentation standards.
Required Qualifications and Skills
Professional certification or formal training in pastry arts, baking, culinary arts, or a related field.
Proven professional experience in a bakery, pastry kitchen, hotel, restaurant, or catering environment.
Strong knowledge of baking, pastry, chocolate, confectionery, and dessert techniques.
Excellent attention to detail and presentation.
Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet production deadlines.
Creativity and a strong understanding of flavor combinations and pastry trends.
Good teamwork, communication, organization, and time-management skills.
