Benin Electricity Distribution Plc. (BEDC) is one of the retail electricity distribution companies licensed by the federal government Benin Electricity Disco (“BEDC” or “Benin Disco”) is one of the successor distribution companies (Discos) created following the unbundling and privatization of the state-owned Power Utility, Power Holding Company of Nigeria Plc. BEDC is responsible for retail distribution of electricity in Delta, Edo, Ekiti, and Ondo States with geographical coverage of 55,770 square kilometers. The company operates from twenty five (25) business districts with approximately 350 offices located across the four (4) states with about 13 million people and about 4 million households.ROLE OVERVIEW

The role of the IT Auditor is critical for conducting independent audits of the organization's information systems, applications, infrastructure, and technology processes.
The role involves assessing IT controls, identifying vulnerabilities and risks, ensuring compliance with regulatory and organizational requirements/standards, and recommending improvements to strengthen information security, operational efficiency, and business continuity.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Plan and execute IT audits in accordance with approved audit plans and professional standards.
Assess the adequacy and effectiveness Of IT general controls, application controls, and cybersecurity controls.
Evaluate compliance with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.
Review system development, change management, data management, access controls, and disaster recovery processes.
Identify technology-related risks and recommend appropriate mitigation measures.
Conduct vulnerability assessments and support investigations into IT incidents where required.
Prepare audit reports detailing findings, risks, and recommendations for management action.
Monitor and follow up on the implementation of audit recommendations.
Collaborate with business and technology teams to promote a strong control environment.
Any other duty that may be assigned.

JOB REQUIREMENTS
Educational Requirements

HND/B.Sc/B.Eng. in IT, Computer Science, Cybersecurity or related fields.
Professional certifications such as CISA, CISSP, CISM, CRISC, or equivalent will be an added advantage.
2 – 3 years of relevant experience in IT Audit, Information Security, Risk Management, or related functions.

Competency

Knowledge Of ERP systems, databases, network security, cloud technologies, and business applications
Strong analytical and investigative skills.
Understanding of power distribution operations and energy flow.
Proficiency in audit tools, Microsoft Office, and data analytics.
Integrity. objectivity, and excellent reporting skills.
