The Membership / Business Development Executive will support the growth of the Trade Services Department by acquiring new members, retaining existing ones, and driving business development initiatives.
The role involves identifying and capitalizing on new business opportunities, ensuring membership engagement, and working closely with the Trade Service Manager to meet the department’s objectives.
Responsibilities
Membership Acquisition and Retention:
Develop strategies to attract new members and engage existing members, ensuring they derive maximum value from the department’s offerings.
Lead Generation and Prospecting:
Identify and pursue business development opportunities through market research, networking, and strategic partnerships to increase the department's revenue.
Customer Relationship Management:
Maintain relationships with members, ensuring satisfaction and providing support to increase their engagement with department services.
Support Event Promotion and Execution:
Assist in the organization and promotion of trade events to boost membership participation and visibility, supporting revenue generation.
Collaboration and Reporting:
Work closely with the Trade Service Manager and other departments to ensure alignment in executing membership and business development strategies.
Prepare regular reports on membership acquisition, retention, and revenue generation activities.
Market Intelligence:
Stay updated on market trends and competitor activities to provide input on how the department can offer more competitive and valuable services.
Sales and Marketing Support:
Assist in the development of marketing materials and campaigns aimed at attracting and engaging members.
Academic Qualification
First Class, Second Class Upper (B.Sc) or HND Upper Credit in Economics, international trade, international business development, Law, Business Admin/Development, Commerce/computer science, or any other Social/Management Discipline from a recognized institution.
Experience:
A graduate with a minimum of 3 years of working experience in a business support organization or business associations.
