Nairapoint Finance Limited is seeking a detail-oriented Internal Control & Fraud Officer to safeguard company assets, mitigate operational and credit risks, monitor financial transactions, and prevent fraudulent activities across our digital platforms.
Key Responsibilities
Perform regular audits of loan portfolios, credit approvals, deposit accounts, and expense transactions to ensure absolute operational compliance.
Monitor digital transaction logs, merchant settlement pipelines, and POS/Agency banking channels to proactively flag and investigate suspicious transactions.
Assess internal operational workflows and recommend internal policy upgrades to prevent financial slippage, data breaches, and systemic vulnerabilities.
Investigate internal and external fraud claims, analyze transaction anomalies, compile forensic reports, and recommend disciplinary or legal actions.
Verify compliance with CBN regulations, NDPR rules, anti-money laundering (AML) laws, and know-your-customer (KYC) onboarding protocols.
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Cybersecurity, Criminology, or a related field.
Relevant certifications (e.g., CFE, ICAN, ACCA, CISA) are highly valued.
2–4 years of direct experience in internal control, audit, forensic accounting, or fraud management within a Fintech, Microfinance Bank, or Commercial Bank.
Strong knowledge of digital lending risks, payment gateway vulnerabilities, mobile wallet fraud patterns, and card/POS transaction monitoring tools.
Advanced analytical skills with proficiency in data analytics tools, SQL, Excel, or audit software to parse large financial transaction sheets.
Uncompromising integrity, high attention to detail, objective critical thinking, and excellent investigative reporting skills.
