Job Overview
We are seeking motivated individuals to join our team as Plumber Apprentices. This is a permanent, full-time position offering competitive pay at $36.60 per hour for a 40-hour work week. The position is based at our location on 1559 Findlay Rd in Kelowna, BC, with work performed primarily on-site and at various locations throughout the area.
Responsibilities
As a Plumber Apprentice with MR. PLUMBING DR. LTD, you will be an integral part of our plumbing team. Your primary responsibilities will include reading blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine the layout of plumbing systems, water supply networks, and waste and drainage systems.
Technical Duties
You will be responsible for locating and marking positions for pipe connections, passage holes, and fixtures in walls and floors. This requires precision and attention to detail to ensure proper installation and functionality. Additionally, you will cut openings in walls and floors to accommodate pipes and pipe fittings, ensuring clean and accurate work.
Installation Skills
The position involves joining pipes using various methods including couplings, clamps, screws, bolts, cement, or soldering, brazing and welding equipment. You will learn and develop essential installation techniques under the guidance of experienced plumbers.
Project Management
You will assist in scheduling personnel, tools, and equipment for various plumbing projects. This organizational skill is crucial for ensuring projects are completed efficiently and on time. As you gain experience, you may also have opportunities to estimate costs and materials for plumbing projects.
Quality Assurance
