Main Duties
The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality nursing care to patients, including undertaking clinical assessments, managing long-term conditions, administering vaccinations, and performing procedures such as ECGs and venepuncture. You will provide health promotion and patient education, support preventative care initiatives, and contribute to the development and monitoring of individual care plans.
Clinical Responsibilities
Your clinical responsibilities will include maintaining accurate clinical records, adhering to infection control and safety standards, and working collaboratively with the wider multidisciplinary team to ensure safe, effective, and patient-centered care. You will also be expected to demonstrate competence in administering vaccinations, including routine adult and seasonal immunisations, and experience delivering childhood immunisations in line with national vaccination schedules.
Specialized Services
The ideal candidate will have proficiency in cervical screening, including managing non-responder recalls and ensuring timely follow-up. You should also have experience in the management of long-term conditions as part of ongoing patient care, ability to undertake hypertension reviews, and experience providing anticoagulation services, including the monitoring and management of patients on Warfarin and DOACs.

Person Specification
We are looking for candidates who meet specific qualifications and experience requirements. The essential qualifications include a Registered General Nurse (RN) qualification with valid NMC registration to practice. You should also have strong interpersonal and communication skills, proven ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team, and excellent organisational and record-keeping skills.
Essential Requirements
To be considered for this position, you must have a valid NMC registration to practice as a Registered General Nurse in the UK. You should demonstrate strong clinical judgement and the ability to work autonomously within your scope of practice. Excellent communication skills with a compassionate, patient-centered approach are essential, as well as good organisational skills with attention to detail in maintaining accurate clinical records.
Desirable Qualifications
While not essential, qualifications in Independent Prescribing and Minor Illness management would be advantageous. Experience of working in primary care is also desirable. Welsh language skills would be beneficial but are not essential for this role. We are committed to providing training as required for candidates who show potential and meet the essential criteria.
