Job Summary
We have an exciting opportunity for a skilled and motivated PET-CT Radiographer/Technologist to join our team at Southmead Hospital in Bristol. The successful candidate will have either HCPC or equivalent voluntary registration, with a background in Nuclear Medicine, preferably with PET-CT experience.
Key Responsibilities
You will undertake a competency programme in PET-CT to develop your knowledge and gain a full understanding of PET-CT procedures. Training will be delivered “On the Job” in collaboration with the Christie School of Oncology via the PET-CT training academy.
Patient Care
You will be responsible for IV cannulation of patients as part of the role. Rest assured, should you not have any prior experience in IV cannulation, Alliance Medical will provide full training to ensure you’re competent and confident in performing this essential procedure.
Professional Requirements
You must be HCPC registered to apply as a Radiographer. The company operates a robust pre-employment screening process which includes proof of professional registration and qualifications, DBS checking, and occupational health assessments.
What We’re Looking For
Essential Qualifications
Must be HCPC registered to apply as Radiographer. A background in Nuclear Medicine is preferred, with experience in PET-CT being advantageous. You should be experienced in handling and dispensing radiopharmaceuticals.
Desirable Qualifications
A high level of competency in cannulation is preferable. CT experience is also desirable. Candidates with significant experience working as a Radiographer will be considered, as training in PET-CT can be provided.
Essential Experience
You should have patient care experience/skills and excellent interpersonal and organization skills including time management. Excellent communication and negotiating skills are essential, along with a high energy level to collaborate across teams.
Working Conditions
Employment Details
This is a permanent, full-time position based at Southmead Hospital, Southmead Road, Westbury-on-Trym, Bristol, BS10 5NB. The salary ranges from £31,500 to £41,000 per annum, depending on experience.

The role requires a flexible approach to working hours, with the ability to adapt to changing needs. You should have a positive approach to change and be willing to operate across multiple sites if required.
