About the Position
Smile Together is seeking experienced Locum Dentists to provide cover at our busy, well-established practices in Bodmin and Newquay, Cornwall. These fantastic opportunities offer a mix of NHS, Private, Plan, and Unscheduled Dental Care in supportive, modern environments. We provide competitive day rates and flexible working arrangements to suit your needs.

This locum position is available at two convenient locations in beautiful Cornwall:
- Bodmin: Harleigh Road Dental Clinic, Harleigh Road, Bodmin, Cornwall, PL31 1AH
- Newquay: Newquay & District Hospital, St. Thomas Road, Newquay, Cornwall, TR7 1RQ
Salary and Benefits
We offer competitive compensation with two payment options:
- Fixed day rate of £550 per day (no lab bills)
- Income split option based on: £14.50 UDA, 50% Private, 35% Plan, £23 per Unscheduled Dental Care patient, and 50% lab split
Additional benefits include flexible working patterns, supportive clinical teams, and opportunities to work across different dental services.

Key Responsibilities
As a Locum Dentist with Smile Together, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality dental care to NHS and private patients. Your key duties include:
- Delivering unscheduled and routine dental care to adults and children
- Applying evidence-based guidance in clinical examination, record keeping, and oral health prevention
- Managing acute dental conditions, dental trauma, endodontic emergencies, and extractions
- Treating patients with complex needs or medical histories
- Maintaining awareness of referral pathways and patient access routes
- Providing thorough clinical documentation for continuity of care
- Treating target numbers of patients efficiently while ensuring excellent patient experience

Essential:
- GDC registered and eligible to work in the UK

li>Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) degree
