Nuffield Health is seeking a qualified Mammographer/Radiographer to join their team at Guildford Hospital. This is a permanent, full-time position offering up to £45,000 per annum depending on experience. The role involves working 37.5 hours per week in one of the busiest diagnostic imaging units in the UK.

Facilities
Our facilities include 49 en-suite patient bedrooms, 4 operating theatres, acute dependency and oncology units. We’ve been awarded the Macmillan Quality Environment Mark for cancer care. Our site is shared with an NHS Trust hospital, giving us access to their facilities. The hospital is easily accessible from the A3 or M25 and we are located about 1.5 miles from Guildford town centre.
Main Duties
As a Mammographer at Nuffield Health, you will deliver a high-quality diagnostic imaging service for a very varied caseload – within the department, on the ward and in theatre. You will work with leading practitioners and experience new practices, equipment and facilities. Your responsibilities will include supervising and developing more junior staff members while providing a service of the highest quality, delivered with sensitivity and compassion.
The Person
To succeed as a Mammographer at Nuffield Health, you will need high levels of technical knowledge and the ability to work quickly and accurately, with a great eye for detail. You should possess a caring nature – seeing each patient as an individual and carrying out this role with understanding and empathy. Excellent communication and team working abilities are essential for this role.
Qualifications
You will need a BSC degree in diagnostic radiography or equivalent to meet the registration requirements of the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC). A postgraduate qualification in an area of specialization is also required. You must have current UK professional registration to be considered for this position.
Experience
Post registration experience relevant to the role is essential. You would become part of one of the busiest DI units at Nuffield Health, working with Consultants and making up part of the Breast clinic. The team is backed by the latest diagnostic imaging facilities including wide bore MRI, X-ray, dental and CT scanning, offering immediate assessment and expert diagnosis.
