Position Overview

General Practitioner to provide General Medical Services, in conjunction with others from the Clinical Team. The Practice uses EMIS Web System. We are currently a training practice with two GP Trainees. This is an excellent opportunity for qualified medical professionals seeking to join a successful and supportive practice in beautiful Carmarthenshire.

Practice Information

We are a highly successful urban Practice in Llanelli Town Centre, serving a population of almost 8,000 patients. The Practice is located in beautiful Carmarthenshire with outstanding areas of coastal and country scenery nearby. We are close to the M4 corridor and are within 5 miles of a fully serviced NHS hospital with Minor Injury Department. Our team consists of 3 GP Partners, 1 salaried GP, 1 minor ailment nurse, practice nurses plus HCA, as well as a strong admin team to support the clinicians.

Working Pattern

Sessions are to be worked on Thursdays and Fridays, offering a part-time flexible working arrangement. The successful candidate will work 4 sessions per week, providing an excellent work-life balance. Benefits Package

Our comprehensive benefits package includes: 6 weeks annual leave, plus bank holidays and 1 week study leave pro rata. Additional indemnity will be paid by the Practice. Essential Qualifications

Applicants must hold a Degree in Medicine to be considered for this position. This qualification is essential as it forms the foundation of medical knowledge required for general practice in the UK. Clinical Responsibilities

Duties as per General Practitioner. You will be expected to provide comprehensive medical care to your patients, including diagnosis, treatment, and ongoing management of various health conditions. This includes routine consultations, health screening, chronic disease management, and appropriate referrals to secondary care services when necessary. You will work as part of a multidisciplinary team to provide the best possible care to our patients.
