Physician Pathologist Opportunity Greater Southern Alameda Area, Northern California (San Leandro/Fremont)
Join a highly collaborative seven-pathologist team in a high-volume, integrated multispecialty based group practice

This role is shared across a team of seven pathologists  and offers the professional satisfaction of a broad-based pathology practice with high emphasis on quality. The capitated health system model allows a unique advantage of longitudinal follow up giving tremendous growth advantage for diagnostic acumen. TPMG is a  physician-led organization and partners with Kaiser Permanente in a mutually exclusive relationship providing both care and coverage.

Recent annual volumes include approximately:
SURGICALS: ~48,000 parts/year
Biopsies: GI, GYN, GU, Breast, Derm, Head & Neck
Bigs: Breast, GI tract, GYN, Thyroid, Head and Neck and GU pathology
Our two medical centers and associated hospitals offers a diverse practice and includes strengths in gastrointestinal and breast cancer.
NO autopsy (only a few per year and they are sent out)
CYTOLOGY: ~2,600/year (Includes FNA and non-gyn cytology)
GYN Dual Stain: ~2,600/year
CALL: Â Once every 7 weeks. Frozen section coverage twice a week.

Ideal candidates will bring:
Board certification or board eligibility in AP/CP
Strong diagnostic judgment and commitment to high-quality care
A collaborative approach across multispecialty colleagues which supports personal and professional growth
Fellowship in Cytopathology or Dermatopathology preferred. Also strong preference for other candidates with expertise in blood transfusion or head and neck pathology
Experience preferred but open to considering candidates fresh out of fellowship

Full-time annual salary range is $363,750 to $375,000 plus additional potential incentives and end of year bonus up to or greater than $29,940*. Reduced schedules with pro-rated compensation may be available.
