NICU Advanced Practitioner Opportunity | Baystate Health
Springfield, Massachusetts, Baystate Health is seeking an experienced Neonatal Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our organization. Baystate Children’s Hospital is a 107-bed and 55-bassinet hospital within Baystate Medical Center in Springfield MA.
 Position Highlights
Join our team of 10 NICU NNPs and PAs and 7 neonatologists in the region’s only Level III NICU.
Top-notch evidence-based care is our highest priority as we manage the daily care of high-risk infants in both our NICU and Continuing Care Nursery. Our APPs attend deliveries and participate in patient transports. We utilize advanced modes of respiratory support including bubble CPAP, NIMV, CMV, HFOV, HFJV, and inhaled nitric oxide.
Our care team includes respiratory therapists, dietician, pharmacist, occupational therapist, social worker, and case management/discharge planner. Outstanding specialty support is available onsite.
Opportunity to be engaged in clinical and QI research, as well as involved in the medical education of resident physicians, medical students and APP students.
This is a full-time position. 12- or 24-hour shifts with rotating days/nights/weekends split evenly across the team.
Qualifications: BC Neonatal Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant. Minimum of 1 year of experience in a level III nursery is required.
The compensation range in the table below represents the base salaries for all positions at a given grade across the health system. Typically, a new hire can expect a starting salary somewhere in the lower part of the range. Actual salaries may vary by position and will be determined based on the candidate’s relevant experience. No employee will be paid below the minimum of the range. Pay ranges are based on assumed full time commitment for exempt employees. Minimum= $139,050. Maximum= $176,130.
