Key Responsibilities
As Restaurant Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of daily restaurant operations. Your primary duties will include evaluating daily operations to ensure efficiency and quality standards are met. You will monitor staff performance, providing guidance and support to maintain high levels of service.
Planning and organizing daily operations will be a critical part of your role, ensuring that the restaurant runs smoothly during all hours of operation. You will be responsible for setting staff work schedules, taking into account employee availability, business needs, and labor regulations.
Supervising staff across various areas of responsibility is essential, with oversight of more than 20 team members. You will determine the types of services to be offered and implement operational procedures to ensure consistency and quality. This includes developing and maintaining service standards that enhance the customer experience.
Financial management will be another key aspect of your position, including balancing cash and completing balance sheets, cash reports, and related forms. You will conduct performance reviews for staff members, identify training needs, and implement solutions to improve performance.
Operational Management
Costing products and services accurately is crucial for maintaining profitability. You will organize and maintain inventory systems, ensuring optimal stock levels while minimizing waste. You will ensure that health and safety regulations are followed at all times, creating a safe environment for both staff and customers.
Customer Relations
Providing excellent customer service is a top priority. You will address customers’ complaints or concerns promptly and professionally, ensuring satisfaction and maintaining the restaurant’s reputation. Leading and instructing individuals in proper service techniques will be an important part of your daily responsibilities.
Required Skills and Experience
Candidates must have proficiency in various Microsoft Office applications including MS Access, MS Excel, MS Office, MS Outlook, MS Windows, and MS Word. Experience with point of sale (POS) systems is essential, as these are the backbone of modern restaurant operations.
Previous experience in a supervisory or management role within the restaurant industry is highly desirable. Strong organizational skills, the ability to multitask effectively, and excellent communication skills are essential for success in this position.
