Family physicians at Medicentres can expect a competitive annual salary ranging from $350,000 to $600,000 CAD, with exact compensation negotiable based on experience, qualifications, and specific clinic requirements. Work Schedule
This full-time position offers flexible scheduling with day, evening, and weekend availability. Physicians can expect to work 32 to 40 hours per week, with the potential for additional shifts based on clinic needs and physician preference. Required Qualifications
Candidates must hold certification from the College of Family Physicians of Canada (CCFP) or equivalent qualifications. Comprehensive Responsibilities
Family physicians at Medicentres will have diverse responsibilities including collecting medical information from patients and family members, examining patients to identify diseases and injuries, helping patients develop healthy habits, ordering diagnostic procedures, consulting with other medical practitioners, prescribing medications, administering treatments, inoculating patients, reporting diseases to authorities, coordinating patient care, providing acute care management, offering counseling services, and delivering emergency care.
Language Requirements
Strong English language proficiency is essential for effective patient communication and documentation. While French language skills are not mandatory, they may be beneficial given Alberta’s diverse linguistic population.
