Position Details
We are currently hiring for 6 cook positions at our Etobicoke location. The position is permanent and full-time, offering stability and growth opportunities within our organization. The work schedule is 30 hours per week, providing a balanced work-life environment.
Compensation Package
We offer a competitive hourly rate of $36.00 CAD, which is above the industry average for cook positions in Toronto. This reflects our commitment to valuing skilled culinary professionals. In addition to the base salary, employees receive other benefits as part of their compensation package.

Key Responsibilities
As a cook with Angara Indian and Hakka Cuisine, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking complete meals as well as individual dishes and foods. This includes following recipes accurately, maintaining consistency in quality and presentation, and ensuring all dishes meet our standards for taste and appearance.
Kitchen Management
You will be expected to inspect kitchens and food service areas regularly to ensure they meet health and safety standards. This includes checking equipment functionality, monitoring storage conditions, and identifying any potential hazards that could affect food quality or safety.
Inventory Management
A significant part of your role will involve maintaining inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment. This includes tracking inventory levels, placing orders for supplies as needed, and ensuring proper storage of all ingredients to maintain freshness and quality.
Cleanliness and Hygiene
You will be responsible for maintaining a clean kitchen and work area at all times. This includes cleaning cooking surfaces, utensils, and equipment, as well as ensuring proper sanitation procedures are followed. cleanliness is paramount in our operation to maintain food safety standards.
Event Catering
Part of your responsibilities will include organizing buffets and banquets for special events. This involves planning menu items, preparing food in appropriate quantities, arranging displays attractively, and coordinating with other staff to ensure smooth service during events.
Culinary Requirements
We are looking for candidates with experience in East Indian cuisine, as this is a specialty of our restaurant. Familiarity with cooking techniques, ingredients, and flavor profiles specific to Indian and Hakka cooking is highly desirable. You should be able to adapt recipes and create dishes that maintain authenticity while meeting customer preferences.
Language Requirements
