About the Position
We are currently seeking a skilled and passionate Chef to join our culinary team in Vancouver. Working Hours
This is a full-time position requiring 35 to 40 hours of work per week. The schedule will include daytime and evening shifts, as well as weekends and holidays as required by restaurant operations. Compensation and Benefits
We offer a competitive hourly wage of $36.67, which is above the average for culinary positions in Vancouver. Job Responsibilities
As a Chef at Sen Pad Thai, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the quality and consistency of our culinary offerings. Your primary responsibilities will include creating innovative new recipes that respect traditional Thai cooking methods while incorporating contemporary elements. You will be responsible for preparing and cooking food on a regular basis as well as for special guests and functions, ensuring that every dish meets our high standards for flavor, presentation, and quality.
Kitchen Management
You will be responsible for planning and directing food preparation and cooking activities for our restaurant. This includes supervising kitchen staff, coordinating workflow, and ensuring that all kitchen operations run smoothly during service. You will need to maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment in compliance with health and safety regulations.
Staff Development
A key aspect of this role involves recruiting, hiring, and training kitchen staff.
