As a Mechanical Workshop Technician, you will support the service and repair of compressors and rotating equipment, contributing directly to regional service delivery and customer satisfaction.
You will perform inspection, disassembly, repair, reassembly, testing, calibration, and troubleshooting activities while ensuring that equipment is repaired according to required quality, safety, and turnaround standards. You will also support workshop operations by maintaining appropriate repair and testing facilities, tools, and equipment.

How You’ll Make An Impact

Mechanical Repair & Maintenance – 50%

Perform disassembly, cleaning, inspection, repair, and reassembly of compressors and rotating equipment components.
Diagnose mechanical faults and determine required replacement parts or refurbishment activities.
Perform complete equipment operational checks, modifications, repairs, reassembly, and calibration as required.
Operate standard workshop machinery, hand tools, and specialized lifting equipment safely.
Follow established repair and return processes to ensure high-quality execution and short repair cycle times.
Support the setup and maintenance of appropriate repair and testing facilities.

Quality Control & Testing – 30%

Conduct dimensional measurements and tolerance checks using precision instruments, including micrometers and dial indicators.
Inspect repaired components and verify compliance with applicable technical and quality requirements.
Document inspection findings, measurements, repairs, and completed activities in detailed workshop reports.
Support final testing and quality assurance activities before repaired equipment is returned to customers.

HSE & Workshop Operations – 20%

Comply with Siemens Energy Zero Harm policies and applicable occupational health and safety requirements.
Maintain workshop cleanliness and ensure tools and equipment are stored appropriately.
Ensure compliance with tool calibration requirements.
Support the safe handling and storage of hazardous materials.
Participate in regular safety toolbox talks.
Immediately report near misses, unsafe conditions, and potential hazards.

What You Bring
Education

Technical Diploma, Trade Test (Grade I/II), or equivalent vocational qualification in Mechanical Engineering.
Candidates with other relevant science qualifications and strong practical experience may also be considered.

Experience

3–5 years of hands-on experience in a mechanical workshop environment, specifically working with compressors or rotating machinery.
