Role Description
This is a full-time/Part-time, on-site Video Director role based in Kano State, Nigeria.
The Video Director will oversee the end-to-end production of video content, from concept development and storyboarding to directing shoots and supervising post-production.
Daily responsibilities include collaborating with creative, editorial, and marketing teams to align video projects with brand and campaign goals, coordinating cast and crew, and managing production schedules and resources.
The role involves ensuring high visual and audio quality, providing clear direction on set, and maintaining consistency with IFING MEDIA’s mission and values.
The Video Director will also review cuts, give feedback to editors, and refine final outputs for digital platforms, broadcast, and other media channels.
Qualifications
Strong skills in Video Direction and Film Production, with experience leading creative vision and managing sets.
Hands-on expertise in Video Production and Digital Video, including camera work, lighting, and sound coordination.
Proficiency in Video Editing, with the ability to supervise or perform editing using industry-standard software.
Proven experience directing video content for media, advertising, or related industries; Islamic finance or halal industry exposure is an advantage.
Ability to translate strategic objectives into engaging visual narratives tailored to diverse audiences.
Excellent communication, leadership, and team collaboration skills, with strong organizational and time-management abilities.
Comfort working on-site in Kano State, Nigeria, with flexibility for local travel and occasional extended production hours.
Relevant academic background in Film, Media, Communications, or related field, or equivalent professional experience.
