Description
The Teller / Front Desk / Executive Assistant Officer will provide a combination of customer-facing, cash-handling, front-office, and executive administrative support to ensure smooth daily operations and effective coordination of the Managing Director’s activities.
The role requires a highly organised, professional, proactive, and discreet individual who can accurately process customer transactions, professionally manage the front desk, coordinate executive activities, and support management with administrative, research, documentation, and business-related tasks.
The successful candidate will also be responsible for supporting the preparation of presentations and other visual materials and must have practical graphic design experience.
Key Responsibilities
Teller & Transaction Operations:
Receive customer deposits and process cash, transfer, and other payment transactions accurately and efficiently.
Issue receipts, transaction confirmations, and other relevant documentation.
Balance daily transactions and prepare end-of-day cash and reconciliation reports.
Maintain accurate records of all transactions in line with established procedures.
Support customer onboarding and respond to account-related enquiries.
Ensure compliance with approved transaction procedures, documentation standards, and internal controls.
Escalate transaction discrepancies or operational issues promptly.
Executive Assistant & Administrative Support:
Manage and maintain the Managing Director’s calendar, appointments, meetings, and schedules.
Coordinate internal and external meetings, including preparation of agendas, minutes, action points, and follow-ups.
Draft and format professional letters, reports, presentations, correspondence, and other executive documents.
Prepare meeting materials, presentations, and briefing documents as required.
Coordinate travel arrangements, accommodation, itineraries, and other executive travel requirements.
Monitor the MD’s commitments, deadlines, and follow-up actions to ensure timely completion.
Support general administrative activities and special assignments as required.
Business & Management Support:
Assist the Managing Director in tracking key business initiatives, projects, deliverables, and deadlines.
Support the preparation of management reports, board papers, presentations, and other executive-level documentation.
Conduct research and compile relevant information to support business and management decisions.
Follow up with internal teams on assigned actions and provide updates on outstanding deliverables.
Assist with the preparation of presentations and visual communication materials using appropriate graphic design tools.
Front Desk & Stakeholder Management:
Serve as the first point of contact for visitors, customers, clients, and other stakeholders.
Professionally receive and direct visitors and manage incoming calls and enquiries.
Maintain a professional and welcoming reception environment.
Receive, record, and appropriately direct correspondence and enquiries.
Serve as a liaison between the Managing Director and internal and external stakeholders.
Coordinate communications and engagements with partners, consultants, regulators, investors, and other relevant stakeholders.
Support the planning and coordination of executive meetings, corporate events, and related activities.
Records, Documentation & Confidentiality:
Maintain organised digital and physical filing systems for executive and administrative documents.
Ensure proper documentation and retrieval of relevant records.
Handle confidential, sensitive, and commercially important information with a high level of discretion.
Ensure documents and records comply with established company policies and documentation standards.
Protect the confidentiality of customer, executive, financial, and organisational information.
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s Degree or HND in Business Administration, Management, Communications, or a related discipline.
Minimum of 2 years’ relevant experience as an Executive Assistant or in a comparable administrative/executive support role.
Practical graphic design experience is required.
Experience in banking, microfinance, fintech, digital payments, or technology-driven environments is an advantage.
Previous experience handling customer transactions, cash, or front-office responsibilities is an advantage.
