To drive financial strategy, project finance, and commercial analysis across its gas commercialisation and LNG portfolio.
The successful candidate will lead financial modelling, capital raising, investment analysis, and commercial structuring while supporting strategic decision-making and ensuring regulatory compliance.
This role is ideal for a finance professional with extensive experience in the Nigerian oil & gas industry, particularly within gas infrastructure, LNG, or midstream operations.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Planning & Analysis:
Develop financial models, investment appraisals, and business cases for gas infrastructure and LNG projects.
Conduct financial analysis, ROI assessments, scenario planning, and capital budgeting.
Prepare financial forecasts, budgets, and long-term business projections.
Project Finance & Investment:
Lead capital raising initiatives with banks, Development Finance Institutions (DFIs), private equity firms, and strategic investors.
Prepare investment memoranda, financial presentations, and investor-ready documentation.
Support due diligence processes and evaluate financing opportunities.
Commercial & Strategic Advisory:
Provide financial and commercial advice on gas commercialisation, LNG pricing, and contract structuring.
Support negotiations for gas sales agreements, offtake arrangements, and commercial partnerships.
Develop commercial strategies that maximise profitability and business growth.
Risk Management & Compliance:
Assess financial risks, market exposure, and investment opportunities.
Ensure compliance with applicable financial regulations and industry standards, including NMDPRA, FIRS, and other regulatory requirements.
Support due diligence activities for mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures, and greenfield projects.
Reporting & Performance Management:
Monitor financial and operational KPIs across gas and LNG projects.
Prepare executive and Board-level financial reports and strategic insights.
Present financial performance, investment opportunities, and business recommendations to senior management and external stakeholders.
Requirements & Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related discipline.
MBA, CFA, ACA/FCA, ACCA/FCCA, or other relevant professional qualifications are highly desirable.
Minimum of 10 years' experience in financial analysis, corporate finance, investment analysis, or project finance within the oil & gas or energy sector.
Demonstrated experience in project finance, fundraising, investor relations, and capital raising.
Strong knowledge of gas commercialisation, LNG markets, project economics, and financial modelling.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial modelling techniques.
Good understanding of Nigeria's gas value chain, fiscal policies, pricing frameworks, and regulatory environment.
Experience supporting investment decisions, commercial negotiations, and strategic business planning.
Excellent analytical, communication, presentation, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to work effectively with executive leadership, investors, financial institutions, and regulatory bodies.
