We are seeking a passionate and knowledgeable Qur’an & Arabic Language Teacher to join our academic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality instruction in Qur’anic studies and Arabic language, with a strong focus on preparing students for the NECO Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) and Lagos State BECE. The teacher will foster a love for Islamic learning and Arabic literacy while ensuring academic excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
Teach Qur’anic recitation (Tajweed), memorization (Hifz), and understanding (Tafsir) appropriate to students’ age and level.
Deliver engaging Arabic language lessons aligned with NECO BECE and Lagos State BECE curriculum.
Teach grammar, vocabulary, reading comprehension, and writing skills.
Prepare students for internal assessments and external BECE exams.
Use modern teaching aids and techniques to enhance language acquisition.
Develop lesson plans and assess students’ progress in Qur’anic memorization and recitation.
Educate students on Islamic teachings, history, and ethics.
Utilize effective teaching methodologies to enhance student engagement and learning.
Assess and evaluate student progress through assignments, tests, and discussions.
Provide guidance and mentorship to students in their academic and personal development.
Maintain discipline and create a positive learning environment.
Maintain accurate records of student performance and attendance.
Provide feedback and support to students and parents regarding academic progress.
Participate in curriculum development and school improvement initiatives.
Collaborate with other Islamic Studies and Language teachers to ensure consistency and integration.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Arabic Language, Islamic Studies, or related field.

Proficiency in Qur’an recitation.
Proficiency in Arabic and a strong understanding of Islamic teachings.
Experience teaching within the Lagos State, WASSCE, or JAMB framework is an advantage.
Strong classroom management and communication skills.
Ability to inspire and motivate students in both religious and academic contexts.
Experience teaching in a secondary school setting.
