Site Inspection & Pre-Installation Verification: Conduct detailed pre-installation site visits to take accurate final dimensions, check site readiness (wall straightness, floor levels, power points), and cross-check these variables against factory cutting lists to prevent installation errors.
On-Site Team & Subcontractor Supervision: Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of installers, carpenters, technicians, and casual laborers on-site. Allocate tasks efficiently to maintain high productivity and ensure proper craftsmanship.
Logistics & Material Management: Oversee the safe offloading and structural handling of finished furniture components at the project site. Cross-check delivered items against the delivery manifest to guarantee no parts, hardware, or components are missing.
Quality Control & Defect Resolution: Inspect completed installations progressively to ensure perfect finish alignment, seamless joints, sturdy hardware fittings, and zero scratches. Actively log any factory defects or site damages and coordinate swift replacements with the Ikeja production team.
Timeline Enforcement & Progress Reporting: Monitor project timelines strictly to meet delivery deadlines. Provide daily and weekly structured site progress reports, accompanied by clear photo documentation, to the Project Manager and Head of Production.
Client & Main-Contractor Relations: Serve as the primary on-site company representative. Address client feedback, handle complaints professionally, and coordinate effectively with main civil contractors, MEP engineers, or site architects to avoid structural clashes.
Requirements
Education: HND / B.Sc. in Building Technology, Civil Engineering, Architecture, Interior Design, or a related technical discipline.
Experience: 3–5 years of hands-on experience in site supervision, carpentry installation, fit-out project management, or finishing works within the furniture manufacturing or interior design sectors.
Technical Skills: Proficient in reading and interpreting complex architectural drawings, structural layouts, assembly diagrams, and 3D floor plans. Highly competent in basic digital tracking tools (WhatsApp reporting, Excel sheets, photo-logging apps).
Competencies: Strong measurement accuracy skills and deep familiarity with structural site variables (plumb lines, levels, moisture impacts).
Health & Safety: Solid working knowledge of on-site safety protocols and the strict enforcement of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) compliance among the site crew.
