The Junior Production Engineer supports the efficient, safe, and cost-effective execution of production operations by planning and monitoring manufacturing activities, optimizing production processes, ensuring product quality, maintaining compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards, and coordinating equipment maintenance to achieve production targets while driving continuous improvement.
Duties/Responsibilities
Production Execution: Develop and implement daily and weekly production schedules to meet volume and delivery targets.
Process Optimization: Monitor production operations, identify equipment bottlenecks, and apply continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma to reduce waste and improve yield.
Quality Assurance: Oversee chemical formulation processes and ensure all batches meet required standards for concentration, purity, and physical properties.
Health, Safety & Environment (HSE): Ensure compliance with safety procedures, proper use of PPE, safe handling of hazardous materials, and adherence to environmental regulations.
Equipment & Maintenance: Coordinate with the maintenance team to execute routine and preventive maintenance on filling systems, capping machines, packaging lines, and chemical reactors.
Team Support: Assist in supervising, monitoring, training, and supporting production operators and junior staff to ensure smooth plant operations. Required Skills/Abilities:
Strong computer proficiency, particularly in Microsoft Office applications and production data management. • Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
Knowledge of chemical manufacturing or formulation processes will be an added advantage.
Demonstrated willingness to learn and adapt in a production environment.
Education and Experience
Bachelor's Degree (minimum of a Second Class Upper) in Chemical Engineering, Industrial Chemistry, Chemistry, Manufacturing Engineering, Production Engineering, or a related field.
2-4 years’ experience in similar role in a similar role
Age Requirement: 26 – 30 Years.
