The Manufacting Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the manufacturing process, including extrusion, printing, lamination, and slitting. Optimizing plant efficiency, ensuring product quality, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. Managing costs, resources, and personnel, while maintaining a safe and compliant working environment.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Prepare and execute annual business plans and budgets of the factory.
Oversee end-to-end production of PP woven sacks (extrusion, weaving, lamination, printing, cutting, stitching).
Manage the Factory budget, reduce production costs, and drive profitability at the Factory level.
Ensure optimal plant capacity utilization and efficiency.
Minimize downtime and reduce waste through lean manufacturing practices.
Maintain quality standards aligned with industry requirements.
Ensure preventive maintenance programs are implemented effectively.
Lead, motivate, and train a diverse workforce, including production managers and operators.
Ensure a safe working environment, including compliance with environmental regulations.
KEY REQUIREMENTS
Education and Work Experience
HND / bachelor’s degree in engineering (Mechanical / Electrical / Polymer / Chemical / Industrial).
15+ years of experience in manufacturing, preferably in woven sacks or plastics. At least 5 years in a senior leadership role with P&L responsibility.
Functional Competencies
Deep understanding of CPP film manufacturing processes, including extrusion, printing, lamination, and slitting.
Proven ability to lead and motivate teams, manage performance, and drive continuous improvement.
Ability to identify and resolve production bottlenecks, analyze data, and implement solutions.
Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with various stakeholders.
Familiarity with relevant industry standards, regulations, and best practices.
