The Group Coordinator, Biomedical Operations is responsible for providing technical leadership and operational oversight of biomedical services across the organization.
The role ensures the availability, functionality, and optimal performance of all critical medical equipment to support efficient and uninterrupted clinical care.
Key Responsibilities
Provide technical leadership and supervision to the biomedical team across all locations
Build team capacity through structured training, mentorship, and performance management
Ensure all critical medical equipment is functional, safe, and available for clinical use at all times
Oversee troubleshooting, diagnostics, and repair of biomedical equipment
Drive improvements in equipment uptime and minimize service disruptions
Implement and monitor preventive and corrective maintenance schedules
Ensure full compliance with regulatory, accreditation, and safety standards
Manage and maintain accurate equipment records and maintenance tracking systems
Support cost control initiatives and ensure effective asset management and protection
Collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to address equipment-related needs.
Job Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Biomedical Engineering or a related field (B.Eng)
Minimum of five (5) years’ relevant experience in biomedical engineering or equipment management
Strong knowledge of biomedical equipment operations, maintenance, and safety standards
Proven ability to troubleshoot, diagnose, and supervise equipment repairs
Experience with maintenance tracking systems and documentation
Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
