College Registrar at Plateau State College of Health Technology
Job Description
The Registrar is the Chief Administrative Officer of the College and shall be responsible to the Provost for the day-to-day administrative affairs of the College.
The Registrar shall also perform such other functions as may be assigned by the Governing Council or the Provost in accordance with the enabling law and regulations of the College.
Requirements
Possess a Master's Degree in the Social Sciences, Arts, Humanities, or another relevant discipline from a recognised university.
Possess at least eighteen (18) years of relevant post-qualification experience in a tertiary institution.
Possess relevant professional membership, where applicable.
Be a Deputy Registrar or hold an equivalent senior administrative position in a tertiary institution, with at least five (5) years' experience at that level, subject to the applicable conditions of service.
Demonstrate proficiency in ICT and relevant administrative software.
Demonstrate strong leadership, administrative initiative, creativity, policy implementation skills, and sound human relations.
Demonstrate knowledge of public service rules, regulations, and administrative procedures applicable to tertiary institutions.
Demonstrate proven integrity, sound judgment, and the ability to maintain confidentiality and professional standards.
Be medically fit to perform the duties of the office, in accordance with applicable requirements.
Not be below forty-five (45) years and not above sixty (60) years of age by 31st December 2026.
Tenure and Condition of Service
The successful candidate shall hold office for a term of four (4) years, renewable once, on such terms and conditions as may be specified in the letter of appointment.
The remuneration and other conditions of service shall be as applicable to this post in similar institutions in the State and as may be determined by the Governing Council of the College in accordance with the Law.
