Job Summary
We are seeking skilled and safety-conscious CNG Truck Drivers to manage the inbound logistics of raw materials in our cement manufacturing plant. They will be responsible for safely operating heavy-duty CNG-powered trucks, ensuring the timely delivery of materials, and strictly adhering to all traffic and environmental regulations.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
Safe transportation of raw materials to designated areas.
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the CNG fuel system, engine, and trucks. Monitor gas pressure levels and report any mechanical faults immediately.
Adhere to all Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) regulations, speed limits, and strict plant safety protocols ( Dangote Group site safety standards if operating within these networks).
Implement defensive driving and eco-driving techniques to maximize CNG efficiency and minimize carbon emissions.
Maximize the fuel efficiency benefits of the CNG engine by practicing smooth acceleration, engine braking, and minimizing unnecessary idling.
Safely connect, monitor, and disconnect high-pressure CNG fuelling lines. Perform standard safety checks on fuel cylinders, valves, and pressure gauges before and after trips.
Maintain strict adherence to scheduled Turnaround Times (TAT), maximizing daily trips while ensuring total compliance with legal axle weight limits to prevent equipment strain and legal penalties
Key Requirements
Academic / Professional Qualifications
Minimum of SSCE Certificate
Valid Nigerian Class G Heavy Truck Driver’s License.
Clean driving record with no history of major vehicular accidents.
Excellent spatial awareness, basic mechanical troubleshooting, and strong communication skills.
Work Experience
Minimum of 1–3 years of experience driving heavy-duty articulated trucks, specifically within the Nigerian cement, mining, or heavy manufacturing sector.
