We are seeking an experienced Assistant Utility Operator to support the operation, monitoring, and maintenance of utility equipment that ensures uninterrupted plant operations.
The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience working with utility systems in an FMCG or manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
Operate, monitor, and maintain air compressors and pump systems to ensure efficient plant operations.
Assist in the operation and routine maintenance of chillers and cooling systems.
Monitor and support the efficient functioning of Thermax Vapour Absorption Machines (VAM).
Perform routine inspections of utility equipment and promptly report faults or abnormalities.
Operate and maintain centrifugal pumps, ensuring optimal performance and minimal downtime.
Support Water Treatment Plant (WTP) and utility-related operations as required.
Carry out preventive maintenance activities and assist in troubleshooting utility equipment.
Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and operational procedures.
Maintain accurate records of utility operations, inspections, and maintenance activities.
Requirements
B.Tech, B.Sc., OND, HND in Mechanical Engineering.
3 – 5 years of relevant experience in an FMCG or manufacturing environment.
Proximity to Sagamu and its environs.
Hands-on experience operating and maintaining:
Air compressors and pumps.
Chillers.
Thermax Vapour Absorption Machines (VAM).
Water Treatment Plant (WTP) systems.
Centrifugal pumps.
Good troubleshooting and preventive maintenance skills.
Strong understanding of utility equipment, safety standards, and plant operations.
Ability to work with minimal supervision and respond effectively to equipment breakdowns.
