Location: Lugbe, Abuja Salary: N300,000
Responsibilities
The ideal candidate will (but is not limited to):
Oversee the financial health of telecom engineering projects, ensuring profitability, compliance, proper funding, and accurate invoicing.
Monitor Work in Progress (WIP) for long-term engineering contracts.
Conduct variance analysis (Actual vs. Budget) for site builds, retrofits, and maintenance projects.
Manage revenue recognition using the Percentage of Completion (PoC) method.
Develop annual budgets and rolling forecasts for engineering departments.
Perform cost-benefit analysis for capital expenditure (CAPEX) on equipment and infrastructure.
Oversee asset management, including depreciation of telecom equipment and fleet vehicles.
Ensure accurate tracking of inventory and spare parts used in field operations.
Ensure compliance with telecom-specific tax regulations and licensing requirements.
Implement and maintain internal controls to prevent financial leakages in procurement and subcontracting.
Collaborate with engineering teams and leadership to align technical execution with financial objectives.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
Professional certification such as CPA, ACCA, or CIMA; ICAN certification will be an added advantage.
Minimum of 5+ years’ experience in accounting or financial management.
Prior experience in construction, telecoms, or engineering environments is strongly preferred.
Proficiency in advanced Excel (financial modeling).
Experience using ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics.
Strong understanding of IFRS 15 (Revenue from Contracts with Customers).
Soft Skills: Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills; ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Physical Requirements: Ability to work in outdoor environments, site inspection, Technical Site Survey (TSS)
Travel: Willingness to travel to project sites when required.
