We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Science Laboratory Technician with a strong background in chemistry techniques to support laboratory operations within our college.
The ideal candidate will ensure the smooth running of practical sessions, maintain laboratory standards, and assist students during experiments.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare chemical reagents and solutions for laboratory practicals.
Maintain cleanliness, organization, and safety of the laboratory at all times.
Assist students and lecturers during practical sessions.
Set up and dismantle laboratory equipment for experiments.
Ensure proper storage and labeling of chemicals and laboratory materials.
Monitor and manage laboratory inventory, including requesting supplies when needed.
Adhere strictly to laboratory health and safety regulations.
Dispose of chemical waste in line with approved procedures.
Perform routine checks and basic maintenance of laboratory equipment.
Requirements
Must possess Ordinary National Diploma (OND) in Science Laboratory Technology, only.
Must be registered and licensed with the Institute of Science Laboratory Technology of Nigeria.
Prior experience working in an educational institution is an added advantage.
Strong knowledge of chemistry techniques and laboratory procedures.
Good organizational and time management skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety standards.
Must reside in Warri, Delta State or its environs.
