Required Qualifications
To be considered for the Child Care Worker Assistant position, candidates must possess the following minimum qualifications:
• Current CPR Certificate (valid certification is required)
• Experience working with children, preferably in a daycare, childcare, or educational setting
• Background in health sciences or related field (preferred but not required)
• Ability to work effectively with infants, toddlers, and young children
• Strong communication skills and ability to follow instructions
• Physical ability to perform childcare tasks including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods
Key Responsibilities
As a Child Care Worker Assistant at Garderie Coins Creatifs, your primary responsibilities will include:
Child Care Duties
• Bathing, diapering, and feeding infants and toddlers according to their individual needs and schedules
• Guiding and assisting children in developing proper eating, dressing, and toilet habits
• Providing attentive supervision and ensuring the safety and well-being of all children in your care
• Comforting distressed children and addressing their emotional needs
Developmental Support
• Assisting early childhood educators in implementing programs that promote physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development
• Supporting children’s learning through play-based activities and structured educational experiences
• Encouraging positive social interactions among children and helping them develop appropriate social skills
• Monitoring children’s progress and development milestones
Operational Tasks
• Maintaining daycare equipment, facilities, and play areas in clean, safe, and organized condition
• Preparing nutritious snacks and meals for children as required
• Arranging rooms and furniture for lunch time, rest periods, and various activities
• Assisting with the setup and cleanup of activity areas throughout the day
Administrative Support
• Assisting early childhood educators or supervisors in maintaining accurate records of children’s activities, progress, and incidents
• Participating in staff meetings and training sessions as required
• Communicating effectively with parents and guardians about children’s daily activities and progress
• Following all organizational policies, procedures, and regulations regarding childcare
