Compensation Package
As a substantive consultant, you will receive a competitive salary ranging from £109,725 to £145,478 per annum, paid monthly. This salary is in line with the UK’s NHS Consultant pay scale and reflects the seniority and responsibilities of the role.

Role Responsibilities
As a Substantive Consultant in Neurophysiology, you will be responsible for the provision of the Neurophysiological Service to the North Cumbria Integrated Care NHS Trust. Your duties will include out-patient and in-patient consultations, teaching duties, participation in clinical governance programs, and providing professional supervision to clinical neurophysiologists. You will also be expected to participate in research activities and service development initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide neurophysiological services across multiple outpatient sites
- Deliver in-reach services to acute hospitals
- Manage general neurology referrals

- Teach and train medical students and junior doctors

Qualification Requirements
To be eligible for this position, you must hold full registration with the General Medical Council (GMC) and have completed MRCP or equivalent qualifications. You must also be on the Specialist Register in Clinical Neurophysiology or be expecting to be added within 6 months from the date of interview.
