Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated General Practitioner to join Sunnybank Health Centre, a friendly and motivated practice serving approximately 5,700 patients in the Cefn Fforest/Blackwood area. This permanent, part-time position offers flexible working arrangements and is being offered with partnership opportunity. The successful candidate will receive £11,000 per session for 4 sessions per week.

Our team consists of GPs, Minor Illness & Practice Nurse, Healthcare Support Worker (HCSW), Independent Prescribing Clinical Pharmacist, a well-organised administration team, and a varied team of allied healthcare professionals.
Role Requirements
The successful candidate will manage a caseload and deal with a wide range of health needs in a primary care setting. You will ensure the highest standards of care for all registered and temporary patients while working collaboratively within our professional and supportive team environment.
Clinical Responsibilities
Clinical duties will include, according to a mutually agreed job plan:
- Conducting surgery consultations, telephone consultations, and queries
- Visiting patients at home when necessary
- Reviewing pathology results and providing appropriate follow-up
- Checking and signing repeat prescriptions
- Dealing with queries, paperwork, and correspondence in a timely fashion
- Making professional, autonomous decisions in relation to presenting problems
- Screening patients for disease risk factors and early signs of illness
- Developing care plans in consultation with patients
- Providing health education to patients
- Recording clear and contemporaneous consultation notes to agreed standards
- Prescribing in accordance with the practice prescribing formulary (or generically when clinically appropriate)
Essential Qualifications
Applicants must be fully qualified General Practitioners with current General Medical Council (GMC) registration. You must have completed your General practice (Vocational Training Scheme) and be on a Local Health Board (LHB) medical performers list.
Professional Requirements
Candidates must participate in annual appraisal and revalidation processes when appropriate. You must demonstrate commitment to maintaining professional development and adhering to all relevant clinical governance and regulatory requirements.

Remuneration Package
