Royal Surrey NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a full-time Consultant Immunologist to join Berkshire and Surrey Pathology Services. Job Responsibilities
The successful applicant will be expected to develop and expand the clinical service in allergy and immunodeficiency, and the immunopathology service. Clinical services are provided at the Royal Surrey and Frimley Park sites. The laboratory provides a comprehensive service in autoantibody, immunochemistry, cellular and allergy testing.
Person Specification – Qualifications
Essential:
- Full registration and a license to practice with the GMC
- Entry on the GMC Specialist Register for Immunology (or relevant specialty), or due to CCT within 6 months from the interview date
- MBBS or equivalent
- MRCP or equivalent
- FRCPath or equivalent
Person Specification – Experience
Essential:
- Evidence of thorough training in all aspects of allergy
- Relevant and up-to-date experience in the practice of allergy, including specialist drug allergy, challenge procedures and immunotherapy
- Significant evidence of experience in clinical leadership
- Clinical experience sufficient to take independent responsibility for the clinical care of patients on an outpatient basis
- Experience in multi-disciplinary clinical audit
Desirable:
- Management training

Salary: £109,725 to £145,478 a year per annum, dependent on experience

Location
The successful applicant will be based at the Royal Surrey Hospital but will be expected to undertake work at the laboratory site at St Peter’s Hospital, Chertsey.
