THIS POSITON IS HIRING FOR INTERNAL CANDIDATES ONLY ! This position will support all Advanced Practice Providers in the division of General Surgery. Job Description: INTERNAL CANDIDATES ONLY Full-time Days No call Inpatient-Variable, depending on the candidate. Can be inpatient or outpatient provider Patient Population: Varied patient population with general surgery needs, some emergency general surgery and some colorectal as well Procedures: Drain removal, staple/suture removal, wound vac Key Responsibilities: The APP Manager oversees a dedicated team of 11 Advanced Practice Providers across five clinical locations, including IU Health West Hospital, IU North Hospital, Fishers Hospital, University Hospital and Methodist Hospital. This position plays a pivotal role in managing all aspects of employee relations, recruitment, hiring, and onboarding of new team members. The APP Manager is also responsible for conducting performance evaluations, providing clinical oversight, and ensuring adherence to quality and patient safety standards. In addition to leadership and operational responsibilities, the APP Manager maintains an active clinical practice and provides direct patient care within their area of expertise. This clinical presence supports continued competency, fosters credibility with staff, and enables the APP Manager to effectively mentor providers while remaining engaged in the day-to-day challenges of patient care delivery. Though strong leadership and clinical expertise, the APP Manager helps cultivate a positive work environment and drives the ongoing success of the APP team and the delivery of high-quality patient care.
