Huntington, West Virginia, The VAMC also offers services to homeless Veterans through the Community Resource and Referral Center located in downtown Huntington, near community resources. A standalone Women’s Health Clinic on campus provides comprehensive health care services to our female patients. Extensive use of community resources, as well as contract community nursing homes for post-hospitalization care, complement our Medical Center’s treatment programs. This Medical Center is the principal teaching facility for the Marshall University School of Medicine for undergraduate and postgraduate medical education.
The Physician is the Gastroenterology Department within the Medical Service and practices at the independent clinical level of practice.
The Physician has specialized knowledge of practice related to the study, diagnosis and treatment of disorders of the digestive system.
This physician will perform or assist in related procedures.
Gastroenterology is the discipline whose providers study the normal function and diseases of the esophagus, stomach, small intestine, colon and rectum, pancreas, gallbladder, bile ducts and liver.
The Physician works as a member of the Gastroenterology Medical team at the Hershel “Woody” Williams campus of the Huntington VA Hospital. There may be sometimes that the clinician would have to visit a CBOC for the purpose of meetings or trainings.
There may be other duties as assigned or required.
