Phoenix, Arizona, Position Summary Registered Nurse – Ambulatory Pediatrics (Complex Care) Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:30 PM Setting: Ambulatory Pediatric Clinic Role Summary Join a collaborative ambulatory pediatrics team caring for children and adolescents with primary care and complex medical needs, including chronic and technology-dependent conditions. This role focuses primarily on telephone triage and care coordination, with some in-clinic support. ________________________________________ Key Responsibilities • Telephone triage and care coordination (approx. 90%) • Coordinate care with multiple specialists, hospitals, and community resources specimen taking not much direct care • Support clinic visits including: o Patient/family education o Care of medical devices (e.g., trachs, feeding tubes, G-tubes) o Specimen collection • Partner with providers and interdisciplinary teams to support medically complex patients ________________________________________ Qualifications • Active RN license • 2+ years pediatric nursing experience o Ambulatory preferred; inpatient acceptable • Experience with medically complex or special-needs pediatric patients • Comfortable managing life-sustaining devices ________________________________________ Ideal Candidate • Resourceful, organized, and solution-focused • Confident communicator who collaborates across teams • Strong clinical judgment in a fast-paced outpatient environment This position, in collaboration with the healthcare team, patient, and family, coordinates and promotes patient health utilizing evidence-based practice in the delivery of professional nursing care across the care continuum. This position advocates for the patient and family adhering to nursing and medical plans of care, regulatory standards, and organizational values. Education Two year (ADN) degree in nursing, a four year degree (BSN) in nursing, or a Diploma Nursing degree. (Required) Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or currently enrolled in an RN to BSN program. (Preferred) Experience Pediatric experience. (Preferred) Certifications Current State of Arizona RN license or an RN license from a compact state with multistate privileges or the ability to establish licensure according to Arizona law prior to start date. (Required) Current BLS certification for Healthcare Provider from the American Heart Association. (Required) Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) or Pediatric Emergency Assessment, Recognition and Stabilization (PEARS) certification may be required within 90 days of entry into the position for select departments. (Preferred)
