Los Angeles, California, Description The Academic Coordinator (Administrative Officer 2) for theRetina Division provides comprehensive administrative and programmatic supportto faculty, fellowship programs, clinical research activities, and academicinitiatives. This position coordinates faculty schedules, academic andprofessional deadlines, meetings, travel, and reimbursement activities whilesupporting trainee recruitment, accreditation, and fellowship programoperations. The position oversees the selection, operations, and accreditationprocesses for trainees in clinical and basic science fellowship programs. Inpartnership with division leadership, the Academic Coordinator also assists withbilling audits, process improvement initiatives, and the effectiveadministration of departmental operations to ensure compliance, efficiency, andorganizational success. Salary Range: $32.20 – $51.36 Hourly Qualifications Required: High School Diploma or GED 5 years minimum of Business operations and/oradministration experience Ability to use high-level discretion and maintain a highlevel of confidentiality Advanced Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word,Excel, and PowerPoint) Analytical skills sufficient to interpret and applyUniversity and campus policies; define problems; formulate logical conclusions,recognize alternatives Strong written skills to prepare accurate, concise, andclear reports and document Communication and interpersonal skills sufficient to workeffectively with University-wide and campus-wide Administrators, Deans,Department Chair, faculty and staff both orally and written Preferred: Knowledge of academic and/or administrative structure ofinstitutions of higher education
