Key Responsibilities
Transportation Operations
As a truck driver with AD Heavy Haul Transport, you will be responsible for operating and driving straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials safely and efficiently. This includes driving lighter, special purpose trucks as needed for specific cargo requirements. You will also be expected to drive as part of a two-person team or convoy for larger hauls or extended routes.
Vehicle Maintenance and Inspection
You will perform comprehensive pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is in optimal condition. This includes overseeing all aspects of the vehicle, inspecting tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment. You will also be responsible for performing preventive maintenance and emergency roadside repairs when necessary to minimize downtime.
Customer Service and Logistics
Professionalism in customer service is essential for this role. You will be expected to arrange travel, related itineraries, and make reservations as needed. Additionally, you will be responsible for recording cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption to maintain accurate records and ensure regulatory compliance.
Specialized Operations
