Responsibilities and Duties

As an Electric Household Appliance Installer with Edgetch HVAC Services Ltd., you will be responsible for a wide range of tasks that ensure the proper installation and maintenance of residential and commercial equipment. Your role will be critical in maintaining our reputation for quality service and customer satisfaction.

Technical Responsibilities

You will need to read blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine work requirements accurately. This technical skill is essential for planning installations and ensuring compliance with building codes and safety standards. You will also be responsible for reading and interpreting blueprints, maps, drawings, and specifications to understand the layout of installations and equipment placement.

Installation Procedures

Determining layout and installation procedures is a key part of this role. You will need to assess each job site, measure and mark guidelines to be used for installations, and prepare all necessary materials and supplies. This attention to detail ensures that installations are completed efficiently and according to specifications.

Equipment and Tools

Your responsibilities include utilizing hand and power tools effectively to complete installations. You may also need to erect and install scaffolding, falsework, and other working platforms when working on elevated installations. Proper handling of tools and equipment is essential for maintaining safety standards on job sites.

Service and Maintenance

In addition to new installations, you will repair and service both exterior and interior prefabricated products. This requires a comprehensive understanding of various appliance systems and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues quickly. Your technical expertise will be crucial in minimizing downtime for our clients.

Documentation and Supervision

Documenting and preparing invoices and work orders is an important administrative aspect of this position. You will need to maintain accurate records of all work performed, materials used, and time spent on each project. Additionally, you may supervise other workers on job sites, ensuring that all team members follow proper procedures and safety protocols.

Logistics

Loading and unloading trucks with supplies and equipment is another key responsibility. This requires physical strength and careful handling to prevent damage to materials and equipment. Efficient logistics management ensures that job sites are properly stocked and ready for work each day.

Work Schedule

This is a full-time position requiring 32 to 40 hours per week. The work schedule includes early morning, morning, and day shifts, with overtime as required.
