Position Overview
We are seeking a qualified anatomical pathologist to join our team in St. Albert, Alberta. This is a permanent, full-time position offering a competitive salary range of $375,535 to $436,847 per year (to be negotiated). Work Schedule
This position requires flexibility in scheduling, with shifts available during early morning, morning, day, evening, night, and weekend hours. The role also includes on-call responsibilities as needed. The position entails approximately 2,022.75 hours of work per year, distributed across various shifts to ensure comprehensive laboratory coverage. The successful candidate should be prepared to adapt to the operational needs of the laboratory.
Key Responsibilities
As an anatomical pathologist at Alberta Precision Laboratories, you will be responsible for diagnosing diseases and physiological disorders through the examination of tissue samples. Your primary duties will include conducting microscopic and chemical analyses of laboratory samples and specimens, providing accurate diagnoses that guide patient treatment plans.
Medical Research and Development
You may have opportunities to conduct medical research on human disorders, illnesses, and preventive or curative methods. This aspect of the role allows you to contribute to the advancement of medical knowledge and the development of improved diagnostic techniques. You will be expected to prepare research papers for publication and presentation at professional conferences.
Disease Study and Analysis

Required Qualifications

- Licentiate of the Medical Council of Canada (LMCC)

- Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada Certification Examination
- Licensure by provincial or territorial authorities
Professional Experience
