Job Summary
The Store Officer supports the Head of Store in managing day-to-day inventory operations, ensuring timely posting of transactions in SAP, monitoring consumables and spares availability, and assisting in compliance with audit and operational requirements. This role plays a critical part in maintaining accurate records, supporting cement production targets, and ensuring smooth logistics flow from operations to dispatch.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Inventory Management
Receive, inspect, and verify incoming materials, spare parts, and supplies against purchase orders and specifications.
Daily bin card updates and maintain optimal inventory levels and monitor stock movement to avoid shortages or overstocking.
Ensure proper storage, handling, and preservation of materials to prevent damage or loss.
Issue materials to authorized departments based on approved requisitions.
SAP Transactions & Documentation
Ensure immediate posting of Goods Receipt Notes (GRNs), production figures, and issuance of consumables/ spare parts in SAP within 24 hours.
Maintain accurate documentation of stock movements and reconciliations.
Compliance & Audit Support
Assist in preparing reports for internal and external audits for audit purposes.
Report discrepancies promptly to the Head of Store and support corrective actions.
Conduct periodic stock counts and cycle counts, and reconcile discrepancies.
Fuel & Logistics Monitoring
Record daily A.G.O issuance and usage, ensuring alignment with operational reports.
Coordinate with procurement, finance, and user departments to ensure smooth material flow
Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
Requirement
Bachelor’s degree or its equivalent in supply chain, Procurement, Business Admin, Accounting, or related field.
Minimum of four (4) years of experience in inventory control or store operations, preferably with SAP exposure.
Basic understanding of Cement operations is an advantage.
Excellent knowledge of SAP transaction posting
experience in inventory monitoring and reconciliation.
Experience in audit and compliance support.
Experience in fuel and consumables tracking.
Excellent communication and coordination skills.
