Senior Automation Specialist will be responsible for advanced troubleshooting and maintaining high equipment availability across plant automation systems. The role deputize for the Automation Engineer, leading shift activities and ensuring operational continuity in their absence. Drives-loss elimination, supports root cause analysis, and ensures compliance with safety, maintenance, and automation standards.
IS THIS YOU?
Minimum of HND/BSC in electrical/electronic or any related field
Minimum of 5 years in electrical/automation engineering experience in FMCG.
Proven advanced electrical/automation skills
Basic understanding of bottling technology
Knowledge of Maintenance procedures
Interpretation of policies, procedures, and systems in Manufacturing
Teamwork skills and mindset and High integrity
Good knowledge of machine programs (Siemens S7, TIA portal, B&R)
Good knowledge of visualizations HMI (interact, Zenon, WinCC).
YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Support the Automation Engineer in maintaining high equipment availability through prompt resolution of automation issues.
Coordinate automation activities and provide technical leadership in the absence of an Automation Engineer.
Lead shift or area-based automation activities with effective task prioritization.
Provide advanced troubleshooting, diagnosis, and repair of PLCs, HMIs, drives, and instrumentation systems.
Drive loss elimination initiatives and support continuous improvement across production lines.
Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for recurring faults and production losses.
Supervise contractors and ensure compliance with safety, engineering, and automation standards.
Ensure proper functioning and integrity of safety control systems, including interlocks and safety devices.
Maintain automation and electrical panels, cable management, and protection systems to required standards.
Maintain accurate identification, documentation, and tracking of motors and automation assets.
Execute preventive maintenance, condition monitoring, maintenance documentation, and SAP notification management.
Adhere to set standards in the plant automation operating procedures and KORE electrical safety requirements.
Accurately document all maintenance and troubleshooting activities.
Support closure of audit findings and corrective action plans (CAP).
Maintain and verify backups of PLC, HMI, VFDs and automation systems, ensuring readiness for recovery.
