We are seeking a responsible and experienced Procurement & Inventory Officer to oversee procurement activities and conduct daily stock and inventory checks at our construction site.
Key Responsibilities
Visit the construction site daily to monitor and take stock of materials and supplies.
Maintain accurate records of materials received, issued, and remaining on site.
Monitor material usage and identify shortages, excesses, or discrepancies.
Coordinate the procurement of materials based on site requirements.
Liaise with suppliers to obtain quotations, negotiate prices, and ensure timely delivery.
Verify delivered materials against purchase orders and delivery documents.
Work closely with the Site Engineer, Storekeeper, and Project Team to ensure proper material control.
Prepare regular procurement and inventory reports for management.
Ensure proper documentation and accountability for all materials purchased and used on site.
Requirements
HND or B.Sc. Degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field.
5–15 years of relevant experience, preferably in the construction industry.
Experience in site procurement, stock control, or construction inventory management.
Good knowledge of construction materials and suppliers.
Strong record-keeping and Excel skills.
Good negotiation, communication, and organizational skills.
Must be willing to visit the construction site daily and work closely with site personnel.
Must be reliable, detail-oriented, and capable of identifying discrepancies in stock and material usage.
