The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for supervising the inspection, servicing, preventive maintenance, condition monitoring, troubleshooting and repair of the company's construction, lifting, welding, power-generation and electrical distribution equipment. The role ensures that equipment is safe, reliable, compliant and available to support EPC activities at oil and gas facilities, fabrication yards, workshops, camps and remote project sites. The position coordinates personnel, contractors, spare parts, tools, work permits and maintenance schedules to minimize downtime without compromising HSE, quality, statutory compliance or equipment integrity.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Maintain required equipment availability and reliability through disciplined preventive, predictive and corrective maintenance.
Ensure maintenance work complies with company procedures, client requirements, OEM recommendations and applicable statutory obligations.
Prevent injury, environmental harm and asset damage through effective risk assessment, isolation, permit-to-work and safe work supervision.
Provide competent leadership to mechanical, electrical and multi-skilled maintenance personnel.
Maintain accurate equipment histories, certification records, work orders, cost data and performance reports.
Reduce repeat failures, repair time, lifecycle cost, fuel waste and unplanned downtime through root-cause analysis and continuous improvement
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's degree, HND or equivalent in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, Automotive or a related engineering discipline. A recognized trade qualification with substantial relevant experience may be accepted.
Typically, 7-10 years in heavy equipment, construction machinery, industrial maintenance or oil and gas facilities.
At least 3 years leading a multidisciplinary maintenance team, shift or project-site maintenance function.
Recognized occupational HSE training such as NEBOSH, IOSH or an equivalent qualification is preferred.
CMRP or other recognized maintenance/reliability certification is advantageous.
Hands-on knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, pneumatics, rotating equipment, generators, cranes/self loaders, compressors, welding machines and industrial electrical equipment.
Experience in EPC, oil and gas, petrochemical, industrial-services or major construction operations.
Experience coordinating third-party inspection, statutory certification, equipment quarantine and defect closeout.
Practical use of a CMMS such as SAP PM, IBM Maximo or an equivalent system, plus competent use of Microsoft Office.
