We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Maintenance Engineer to join our technical team.
The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing injection moulding machines and moulds, ensuring maximum equipment uptime and production efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance on injection moulding machines and related equipment.
Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic faults.
Install, maintain, and service moulds, ensuring optimal performance and product quality.
Perform machine setup, calibration, and commissioning after maintenance activities.
Monitor machine performance and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce downtime.
Maintain accurate maintenance records, reports, and spare parts inventory.
Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards.
Collaborate with the production team to resolve machine-related issues promptly.
Train machine operators on basic maintenance and proper equipment handling where necessary.
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree or Higher National Diploma (HND) in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or a related field.
NYSC or discharge certificate
3–5 years' relevant maintenance experience in a plastic manufacturing company.
Proven experience working with injection moulding machines and plastic moulds.
Strong knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, and electrical systems.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical manuals.
Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication, teamwork, and time management skills.
Ability to work under pressure with minimal supervision.
