History.
Mikano International is a limited liability company incorporated in Nigeria on the 13th February 1995 to engage in all aspects of generator business. From a small beginning in Ikeja, Lagos, to being the leading power solution provider in Nigeria employing over 1600 employees both indigenous and expatriates in various fields.
Today, the company has experienced a spectacular growth through the latest technology and increased its product range to its assembly line of Generators both Diesel and Gas from 9kva to 5000 kva. The company’s STEEL FABRICATION DIVISION fabricates sound proof canopies for all the generators using the latest technology machines.POSITION SUMMARY
The Logistics & Procurement Officer (Motors Division) is responsible the end-to-end supply chain activities of the division, including the sourcing and procurement of vehicles, spare parts, and accessories, as well as overseeing all importation, customs clearing, and freight forwarding processes
TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage the full importation cycle from vessel booking, Bill of Lading (B/L) receipt to final delivery to the warehouse. Prepare, review, and file all import documentation including Proforma Invoice, Commercial Invoice, Packing List, Bill of Lading (B/L), Form M, Combined Certificate of Value and Origin (CCVO), NAFDAC Permit (where applicable). Standard Organization of Nigeria (SON) Certificate, Pre-Arrival Assessment Report (PAAR) and Single Goods Declaration (SGD).
Liaise with the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) for the processing of import entries through the Trade Modernization Project (TMP)/NICIS II platform, Single Window.
Coordinate with licensed customs agents/brokers for timely customs examination and release of consignments. Coordinate with shipping lines, freight forwarders, and terminal operators (Apapa, Tin Can, APM, etc.) for container tracking and release.
Obtain all relevant regulatory approvals including Form M from authorized dealer banks and SON Conformity Assessment.
Maintain an accurate and up-to-date filing system for all customs and shipping documents.
Prepare weekly/monthly logistics and procurement reports for the Head of Department.
Conduct periodic audits of import files and vendor invoices to detect discrepancies.
Liaise with the Legal and Finance departments on trade-related disputes, insurance claims, and demurrage recovery.
QUALIFICATIONS
In-depth knowledge of the Nigerian Customs Service (NCS) operations, procedures, and import/export regulations.
Proficiency in the use of NICIS II/TMP customs platform, SGDs and processing entries. Strong understanding of the Nigeria Harmonized Commodity and Tariff Schedule (HS Codes) for automotive goods.
Familiarity with Form M processing, LC documentation, and CBN trade finance guidelines.
2-4 Year experience in Procurement in international and local purchase
HND or bachelor's degree in a relevant field
