As an Interior Designer it involves conceptualizing, designing, and executing innovative furniture and interior design projects that align perfectly with client needs and our premium brand standards.
This role requires a unique blend of creative artistry, technical design mastery, and robust project management skills to ensure the seamless execution of projects from inception to final completion.
Key Roles & Responsibilities
Concept & Visualization: Develop unique, aesthetically pleasing furniture and interior design concepts based on client briefs; produce high-quality sketches, mood boards, and immersive 3D visualizations to present design ideas.
Client Collaboration: Present design proposals and updates to clients, management, and project teams; collaborate closely with clients to refine designs and incorporate feedback.
Technical & Production Liaison: Communicate design specifications clearly to production teams and contractors; work hand-in-hand with the production and operations teams to ensure feasibility, functionality, and structural integrity.
Project Oversight: Monitor project timelines to ensure strict adherence to deadlines and budgets; oversee the implementation of design concepts from prototyping to final production.
Quality & Standards: Conduct regular on-site quality checks to guarantee that design integrity and finishing meet strict company standards; ensure compliance with safety, sustainability, and ergonomic standards.
Stakeholder Management: Liaise with architects, artisans, sub-contractors, and other project stakeholders to facilitate seamless execution.
Trend Research: Stay ahead of global and local industry trends, materials, and innovative design solutions to incorporate modern aesthetics into all projects.
Academic Qualifications & Experience
Education: Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, or Architecture from an accredited school. A higher degree or relevant professional certification is a distinct advantage.
Experience: 3-5 years of verified professional experience in Project or Interior Design.
Sector Preference: Strong experience handling Commercial Interiors (e.g., Workplace/Corporate, Retail, and Hospitality/Restaurants) is highly preferred.
Required Skills & Competencies:
Software Proficiency: Advanced skills in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, and MS Office Suite, alongside modern 3D rendering software.
Design Expertise: Deep understanding of the end-to-end design process, including space planning, color theory, material properties, furniture systems, FF&E (Furniture, Fixtures, and Equipment), and technical specifications.
Project & Compliance Knowledge: Practical knowledge of project costing, contracts, local building codes, and local permitting processes.
Execution & Quality: Exceptionally accurate, detail-oriented, and capable of maintaining top-tier quality and customer service across multiple fast-paced projects simultaneously.
Interpersonal Skills: Outstanding verbal and graphic communication skills; ability to collaborate effectively across disciplines and build highly productive relationships with clients and team members.
